Why I'm building this after five

I've got a full day job. This — the building, the helping, the writing — happens after five. That's not something to hide; it's the whole point. Plenty of people want to start something but can't drop everything to chase it. I want to find out what's actually possible in the hours you have left.

The honest version: I'm not doing this to become an influencer. I'm doing it to see if someone with the right skills and the right intentions can genuinely help small businesses — and maybe build something real in the process.

In an era of AI and Big Tech, the businesses that need help most are the ones getting left behind — priced out, or too time-poor and tired to learn one more tool. There aren't many people with the IT know-how and the actual desire to sit alongside them. So that's what I'm doing.

I might not pull it off. That's exactly why I'm doing it in the open.

I'm starting with the business I know best — my mum's. And I'm writing all of it down: what worked, what didn't, and what it cost. If you're building something after hours too, follow along. Let's find out together.
